Agritourism the “right way”

We are a group of locally born and raised, Skagit Valley farm venue owners and vendors who stand to lose our livelihood with this new code proposal.

We believe that the Skagit Valley farmland and farming industry are incredibly important, and that agriculture and agritourism (including farm venue events) can continue to coexist in harmony.

Our venues help supplement our small farms and give us an opportunity to teach our guests about the value of our protected farmland and the rich history of our valley and our homesteads. Farm venues provide informational farm tours, display historical photos and artifacts and invest in preserving and restoring historic barns and farm buildings.

Without farm venues there would be a loss of community engagement and connection. Skagit County residents would be forced to leave the county to gather with their loved ones and celebrate life’s milestones.

Thank you for your time, we hope you’ll take immediate action to help us save Skagit farm venues.
